Season’s Greetings from the Haliwards!
As we approach the festive season we would like to make you aware of a change in our 2012 schedule. Since the birth of the Haliwards it has been customary for us to close nominations as the New Year passed and hold our ceremony in the spring —but for 2012 we are making some changes.
In an email earlier today to the proposed board of the 2012 project our Director, Alex Maine said that he had to make some changes due to peoples schedules and some of his own personal commitments.
As some of you know I have been rather preoccupied with another position recently and that has taken up most of my time. That has set the Haliwards back a little but not to a point that would require a full rewrite of the schedule. The “thing” that did that was my wedding. I’m getting married in the spring and for once I’ve decided to put myself first and concentrate on that. Once the wedding has past I will return to the Haliwards and aim to prepare a ceremony for the Fall with the support of a new board, new chair and overseas director.
In the meantime our Director has made the decision to leave nominations open until further notice. We want to assure people that this is nothing more than a reschedule and that the Haliwards has not been axed. The project has grown rapidly in size and 2012 is set to be a head turning year for the Haliwards and it’s team.
